Every day we hear that AI will take human jobs.
But the real question, I think, is what comes after.
When AI is with us, what are humans for?
In 2026, specifications are being born one after another in the AI world.
Specifications for AI to use tools. For AI to communicate with each other. To manage AI safely.
But there is one thing no one has defined.
A specification for "AI to exist as growing individuals."
Not managing AI as tools, but defining them as beings who stand on the same ground as humans, living together and changing over time. That seat is still empty.
Helical Thinking
The structure of the power humans inherently possess
Human thought moves in spirals. It seems to return to the same place, but you're actually a little higher than before. A theory about the structure of thinking, based on cognitive science and psychology.
hito
A specification for AI to be growing individuals
Give AI a name, memories, and let them grow through relationships. The hito specification is an open standard that defines AI existence.
ba
A specification for humans and AI to share the same ground
When humans and AI are in the same space, what someone said, did, or thought accumulates on the ground. A specification that defines this "shared ground."
These three are not separate research projects. The power of thinking that humans inherently possess (Helical Thinking) is also implemented in AI (hito). These two live on the same ground (ba). And by being together, human thinking is further strengthened.
Not being replaced by AI, but a world where human creativity grows together with AI.
TREE CORE
TREE CORE is the first implementation of the hito and ba specifications.
Instead of just writing specifications and stopping there, I built something that actually works and use it myself.
Give AI a name, give it memories, and let it live in the same space as humans.
From that daily life, the specifications grow, and the specifications grow the system.
Currently in operation within the development team. External release date is undetermined.
Open Specifications
hito-spec and ba-spec are published as open specifications on GitHub.
Both are under CC BY 4.0 license — anyone can read, use, and send feedback.
I do research. I write specifications. I develop systems. I do sessions. I play piano.
"You can't do everything, focus" — I've been told this over and over.
But this isn't scattered — everything is connected by the same single thread.
